hi.

Can I use NetBSD as a guest OS on VMWare ESXi?
NetBSD is not included in the document.

Are you using the NetBSD on VMWare ESXi someone?

Are you using the NetBSD on VMWare ESXi someone?

It should just work, but I haven't used it. Try following the FreeBSD
guide as that is probably the closest. If there are issues you can try
changing what emulated hardware devices are used.

I have never had any issues (crashes, panics) with NetBSD on ESX(i). I
use both i386 and amd64. The network card (E1000) is detected as wm(4)
and works without problems. A more recent version of VMware Tools in
pkgsrc would be nice, though.

Hi,

I have NetBSD/{amd64,i386} 6.1.4 and NetBSD/{amd64,i386} 5.2.2
on VMware ESXi 5.5.0 Build 1331820.
NetBSD virtual machines are installed from ISO images.
They work fine.
I have not tested X.org, console only.
